It’s no secret that gin, particularly flavoured gin, is the “in thing” to drink right now. With everyone from high-end brands to supermarkets trying to get a slice of the flavoured spirit action, you can literally buy any flavour gin your palate could desire.

And now Asda has jumped on the bandwagon, developing three new gin tipples just in time for summer.

The line-up includes Elderflower & Pink Grapefruit Gin Liqueur (£12), Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur (£12) and Extra Special Pink Gin (£16).

Described as “sharp, tangy and fragrant,” Asda reckon the new tipples are the perfect edition to a G&T, or summer cocktail.

“Gin sales have increased by 80% year-on-year at Asda, with customers now looking for flavours that complement the warm weather perfectly,” says Helen Cook, Asda’s Beer, Wine and Spirits product developer.

“We’ve seen several brands introduce pink and flavoured gins these last six months so we’re excited to be introducing an own brand offering, providing quality bottles at an affordable price.”

Thankfully there’s no waiting round to try the new gin additions. The two fruity liqueurs are available in store and online now, while the Pink Gin will be launching next week.
