Everyone has a go-to cocktail, right? Whether it’s a tasty gin concoction, or another summer tipple, everyone has their favourite party drink.

And Nigella has revealed the delicious cocktail she loves to drink: a Negroni Sbagliato.

During a Twitter Q&A, the TV chef revealed to a fan that her favourite cocktail was a twist on the classic Negroni.

“It’s like a Negroni, well it’s based on it,” she told a fan. “So, instead of gin you have Prosecco.”

According to Campari, a Negroni Sbagliato was invented in Milan by accident after a bartender added sparkling wine rather than gin. In fact, Sbagliato actually means “mistaken” in English.

To make on yourself, you add one part Campari, one part Red Vermouth and one part Sparkling Wine, before garnishing it with a slice of orange.

A classic Negroni is exactly the same, except you swap the one part sparkling wine for one part gin.

Another drink to add to our dinner party repertoire!
