A bottle of fizz on Valentine’s Day from your significant other can be well-meaning (and welcome) but perhaps a tad impersonal.

Veuve Clicquot has solved that issue but coming up with a gift box, which allows you to record a message... in a bottle (sort of).

Yep, the box the Champagne comes in, has a recording device which allows you (or your loved one) to tape their own voice, which plays once the box is opened.

Think one of those birthday cards that plays Happy Birthday – but far less annoying because it comes with a recorded declaration of love (and a bottle of rose Champagne).

It’s the second year Veuve Clicquot have produced their ‘Clicq’ call boxes, as they call them.

At £59.99, it’s not a cheap gift, but hey, it’s once a year, and if you're lucky your other half will probably share the bottle with you.
