Chocolate truffles are a definite treat, and while they can cost a fortune in the shops, they really easy to make them yourself. In fact, you can whip up your own in five very simple steps.
While we used cocoa powder and hazelnuts, you can coat your truffles however you desier (pistachios and coconut flakes are another choice).
Here's how to make your own in the comfort of your own home...
For 30 truffles, you will need:
- 200g plain chocolate
- 25g butter
- 140ml double cream
- Cocoa powder, to coat
- Chopped hazelnuts, to coat

STEP TWO: Once nearly melted, stir in cream until smooth and thick.
STEP THREE: Pour into roasting tin, cover in cling film and chill for 1-2hr.
STEP FOUR: Sift a layer of cocoa powder on one plant, hazelnuts on the other, and scoop a teaspoonsful of truffle mixture and roll into a ball.

SETEP FIVE: Shake in plate of cocoa powder, and turn balls in the hazelnuts.
