The world went Cronut® crazy when Dominique Ansel first invented the croissant-doughnut hybrid. But the mouthwateringly good pastry was only reserved for New Yorkers, home of the official cronut, until now...
Dominique will be opening his first London bakery this Friday (30 Sept) - the Dominique Ansel Bakery London - which will exclusively sell cronuts in the UK.
And we say exclusively because he actually trademarked the name so no one else could steal the genius idea (although some people do sell them under other monikers, such as Crodough).

The Cronut® is a doughnut shaped pastry, but has layers of croissant instead. It's then deep-fried and piped with cream and other fillings.
The DKA - a caramelised croissant made from dough - will also be coming to London for the first time, as well as cookie shot glasses filled with vanilla-infused milk and frozen s'mores covered in honey and marshmallow.
It's definitely set to be a popular London eating place as people currently queue round the block in NY to get their hands on some of Dominique's creations.
Hurry up Friday!
