National Sandwich Week 2015 will run from 10 to 16 May, and to celebrate, a London hotel is launching a very special Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas sarnie!
The Studio Kitchen at K West Hotel is honouring both Sandwich Week and the Great British seaside all at once, with this somewhat gargantuan snack.
But if you have visions of a full chippy dinner wrapped up in a buttered roll, take pause. This is actually 'posh' fish and chips.
The sandwich is a crusty white ciabatta filled with a fillet of beer battered Pollock, served alongside a portion of 'proper' mushy peas and garnish of sweet potato crisps. A marvellously nostalgic touch however, comes in the newspaper cone of chips, which of are course, drenched in vinegar.
The sandwich will be available for a limited time only, from £12.50. Yum!
