Fortnum and Mason have launched a special honey made from beehives situated on The Queen Consort's own estate in Wiltshire.
The jars of honey are now available to buy from Fortnum and Mason for £40, with all profits going towards the charity Mirabel, supported by The Queen Consort.

According the retailer, the honey blends "zesty citrus with subtle herby notes – and a wonderful aroma that’s reminiscent of freshly-cut hay."
The delicate taste is thanks to the bees living around and foraging from a "wildly-grown corner" of The Queen Consort’s Wiltshire estate which is home to "bittersweet Hawthorn hedgerows," and "flowering lime trees."

Fortnum and Mason
The honey is from Fortnum's Queen Consort range, a selection of special products inspired by the royal, which is part of a wider coronation collection.
The full collection includes commemorative plates and teacups, special teas and biscuits, plus decadent hampers and other keepsakes.

The range stars collaborations from a selection of British designers to create what Fortnum's describes as pieces, "featuring a rich palette of regal colours, heraldic motifs, iconic typography – and a cast of gentle animals from the Commonwealth and beyond."
It goes onto to say that the designs, "blend modernity and tradition...informed by the rich provenance and symbolism of past royal celebrations."
