Lidl has launched its own mochi ice cream balls in four summery flavours which are due to launch in stores next week.

In case you’re wondering what mochi ice cream balls are, they’re delicious bite-sized sweet treats, made up of balls of ice cream wrapped in tasty rice flour dough.

Lidl's Vitasia Mochi Ice Cream launches in store 3 June and the bite-sized pieces come in four fresh, summery flavours: coconut, mango, vanilla and, of course, chocolate. A six-pack of these frozen treats will set you back just £2.99.

Lidl's not the only supermarket jumping on the mochi bandwagon - Aldi has also launched its own version of the ice cream balls too.

Aldi’s Wao Mochi Balls come in three super-summery flavours: tropical, mango and coconut. Like Lid's balls, a box of six of Aldi's mochi ice cream balls will set you back £2.99.
