Founded by distiller Johnny Neill in 2005, Whitley Neill has already brought us delicious flavours like Rhubarb and Ginger, Blood Orange, and Raspberry; firmly cementing the brand as a firm favourite for flavoured gins. And this new offering looks to be no exception.
The sun has started to make an appearance after a long winter, and our minds have turned to summery cocktails and warm evenings. The launch of a Sri Lanka inspired mango and lime gin could not be better timed.
With the flavours of sun ripened mango and fresh lime, the brand promise: "a vibrant and citrusy taste of the tropics."
The fruity flavours are balanced with peppery undertones of fresh stone fruit and herbaceous juniper, rounded with a citrus sherbet finish and hint of soft spice from cassia bark and coriander. And it sounds delicious.
The brand's recommended serve is a highball with a 50ml measure of the new Whitley Neill Mango and Lime Gin topped with elderflower tonic. To go all out garnish with a slice of pineapple and a sprig of mint.
A prime contender for cocktails, the makers even shared a recipe for a 'Tropical Island Cooler' cocktail (full recipe below). It's gone straight to the list of what we plan to make once we can have guests in our gardens again!
New Whitley Neill Mango and Lime Gin will be available in Morrisons from 15 March, RRP £26.00 or online at Drinks and Treats now.
