Jamie Oliver and his mum Sally have given us some serious cake decorating inspiration over on Instagram. The celebrity chef shared a sweet snap baking Christmas cakes with his mother and we are very impressed with their decorating efforts.
Jamie learnt to cook in the kitchen of his parent's pub/restaurant growing up, so we're not surprised mum Sally has some serious skills. Swiping through the post, the intricate designs range from sweet holly to a fabulous Christmas Eve night sky; one is even decorated with real foliage and festive spices.
The star gave some Christmas cake advice in the caption telling followers: "It's not too late to make your Christmas cake folks!!
"If you store it properly, it keeps for ages. Feed with a small drizzle of booze in the run up to Christmas, a little thimble here and there, the better the quality, the better the cake will taste! Then you can decorate it just before Christmas! Recipe link in my bio & swipe left for some decorating inspo from me & mum. Enjoy! "
You can get the full recipe on Jamie's website, or in his Christmas recipe book.
We're assuming some of those fabulous cakes are from past years, otherwise they really have been busy.
