Gino D'Acampo is extending his popular Italian frozen food range with Iceland, and has included some pretty special family and childhood recipes.
Of the six new dishes, the first to catch our eye is the Arancine Al Forno; crispy risotto balls filled with mozzarella cheese and baked in a tomato sauce. They can be enjoyed as a starter or main and sound delicious.
Gino said the dish has special memories for him, explaining: “Every Sunday my father used to take me around the town of Torre del Greco, we would eat this sitting on the step of a church. This is the ultimate Neapolitan street food”.
Gino is also sharing his family recipe Cannelloni Ragu, passed down for generations and taught to him by his mother when he was just 10. A slow cooked beef ragu is wrapped in egg pasta, and then baked in a creamy béchamel sauce with pecorino cheese... dreamy.
There are also two Macaroni Cheeses to try, a pancetta and peas variation and a tasty sounding four cheese. Plus, there's a Ravioli Spinach & Ricotta and a switched up Ravioli Bolognese.
All the dishes can be cooked from frozen in around twenty-five minutes, allowing you to enjoy the renowned chef's recipes from the comfort of your own home.
