The Cotswolds Distillery is launching the second variant in its Wildflower Gin Collection, and it sounds just as delicious as the first.
Cotswolds No. 2 Wildflower Gin is a blend of gentian, elderflower, camomile and lemon balm layered over London Dry gin.
The collection is inspired by the wildflowers growing in the ‘glorious grasslands’ of the Cotswolds, bringing together the region's premium botanicals.
The new Cotswolds No. 2 Wildflower Gin, sold in an equally pretty floral illustrated bottle, is golden in colour and promises a mixture of subtle, bittersweet flavours with notes of sherbet lemons and delicate eucalyptus.
The brand says it brings a "bright, floral bitterness" to the palate, whereas the original spirit in the collection, Cotswolds No.1 Wildflower Gin, offers "delicate floral aromas of summer meadows".
Dan Szor, Founder and CEO of Cotswolds Distillery, said in the press release: "We’ve been thrilled with the reception of our Cotswolds No.1 Wildflower Gin, which we launched earlier this year.
"We are now rolling out our Cotswolds No.2 Wildflower Gin, an exciting new addition to our gin portfolio, which demonstrates great versatility, delicious served as a gin spritz or in a more complex serve at home.”
GH wine and spirits specialist, Alex Hale commented "this delicately floral, bitter gin is delicately flavoured with chamomile and lemon with a soft juniper note. The finish is intensely bitter making it a real contrast to the sweet, soft floral notes of Cotswold No. 1 Wildflower Gin".
Summer's not over until 22 September, meaning there's plenty of time left for summer spritzes in the last of the sun!
