In some good news for chocolate-lovers, KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough bars are back in shops by popular demand, but there's a catch - they'll only available for a limited period.
Popular KitKat Chunky bars have come in so many flavour and variants over the years, delighting fans and tantalising tastebuds. But as exciting as new flavours are, there's something extra special about a returning flavour. It's a joy to those who loved it and a second chance for those who missed it the first time round.
KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough centres on the classic crisp wafer finger of the original KitKat, of course sized up to chunky size, then toped with a thick layer of cookie dough filling and chocolate pieces, all encased in a layer of thick KitKat chocolate.
Sascha Macchi, Brand Manager for KitKat said of the news: "We know KitKat fans love the opportunity to rediscover limited edition flavours and this is why we are bringing back two huge favourites this year. As a nation, we cannot get enough of cookie dough, so we are expecting consumers to go wild for the return of KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough."
But it's not the only returning flavour, KitKat Chunky Mint is coming back too. This bar sees a more traditional chunky transformed by making the milk chocolate a mint flavour.
"The UK is also a huge fan of minty treats," Macchi continued.
"So we expect KitKat Chunky Mint to be flying off the shelves as soon as it leaves our production line in York! What's more, it's available for a limited time only, so we urge fans to get theirs quick!"
KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough is available in all major retailers now and KitKat Chunky Mint will be available from 13 August. KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough will be available until 2021, while KitKat Chunky Mint will be available for one production run only.
