If you fancy adding the royal touch to your evening G&T then listen up, because a new Buckingham Palace gin made with botanicals from the Queen's own gardens has just launched.
Now available to buy on the official Royal Collection website, the new Buckingham Palace gin is described as having "a unique royal origin".
The tipple boasts citrus and herbal notes sourced from 12 botanicals hand-picked in the Buckingham Palace Gardens. These include lemon, verbena, hawthorn berries and mulberry leaves, all grown in the gardens at the Queen's royal residence, which spans 16 hectares and also happens to be home to 30 species of birds and over 250 species of wild flower, according to the product description.
The recommended serve is to pour a measure of the royal gin into a short tumbler filled with ice, before topping it up with classic tonic and finishing things off with a slice of lemon.
Sounds like the perfect summer drink to us!
It also comes presented in a beautifully decorated bottle with a floral motif, meaning it'll make an excellent addition to your drinks cabinet.
A 70cl bottle of the new gin – which is 42% ABV – can be yours for £40 from the Royal Collection website.
The Royal Collection – one of the largest art collections in the world, including almost the entire contents of all the royal palaces – is administered by the Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity, meaning the income from every purchase you make contributes directly to its care. The Royal Collection is no longer owned personally by Her Majesty The Queen but is held in trust by her as Sovereign for both her successors and the nation.
The new Buckingham Palace gin is available to order now for £40 on the Royal Collection website, although bottles won't be dispatched until 31 August.
