Gin lovers, rejoice because M&S has really outdone itself with its new tipple. It's an elderflower gin liqueur, but not as you know it – the spirit contains flecks of 23 carat gold leaf.

Named the Glitter Globe Elderflower Gin liqueur, the dazzling new product is a real treat that sounds (almost) too spectacular to drink.

We all need a little sparkle and fun right now, so we're sending a big thank you to M&S for its latest creation. The new drink is perfect for summer spritzes and cocktails, adding a shimmering twist to your favourite recipes. Not to mention the fact that the bottle will look beautiful in your alcohol cabinet or on your drinks shelf.

What to read next

Elderflower is an incredibly popular flavour pairing with gin, as the fresh and sweet flavour perfectly complements the spirit – but this is certainly a new take on the classic. Commonly presented with delicate floral garden designs in pale creams and greens, this new product throws out the rule book with its boldly designed bottle and glittering contents.

Glitter Globe Liqueur Cocktail suggestions

The brand recommends serving the tipple on the rocks, with soda and mint or mixed with Prosecco for a glittering, swirling 'We're all gin this together' cocktail (25ml of Glitter Globe liqueur mixed with 150-200 ml of Prosecco and topped with a raspberry garnish) – and it looks delicious!

Swipe to watch it glitter...

The Elderflower Gin Liqueur Glitter Globe, 70cl, £15 , is available from today (12 May) in Marks & Spencer stores.
