There's a new beverage on the block at Starbucks. Today, the brand have unveiled their Cloud Macchiato, a light and fluffy brew that looks perfect for the warmer days ahead as we transition into spring.
There are two flavours available - Iced Vanilla Bean or Iced Caramel Cloud. Based on a classic Iced Macchiato but with a delicious new twist, the Cloud Macchiato is made from light, whipped milk foam that gives it a smooth and fluffy texture. Smooth, mellow Starbucks Blonde espresso is poured into caramel or vanilla flavoured foam and finished with either caramel or vanilla bean drizzle.
According to Neil Littler, the senior marketing & product manager at Starbucks UK, the new Iced Cloud Macchiato was inspired by an equally delectable sweet treat - the traditional Italian meringue.
"The new Cloud cold foam is like nothing else on our menu, irresistibly light and fluffy," he said in a statement.
The new Cloud Macchiato is priced from £3.40 (for a Tall size) and will be available in selected Starbucks stores from Thursday, 5th March. It's only on the menu for a limited time, however, so you'll want to get in quick if you're keen to try it.
