The retailer has announced they sold 16,000 glasses an hour during the festive period of two wines in particular: the Rioja Joven DOC and the Argentinian Malbec. Even better, each bottle will only set you back £4.99 and they're both part of Lidl's core range - so they're available all year round.
The Rioja is described as being a "refreshing wine" featuring "bright black plum aromas", recommended for pairing with anything from pizza to steak. The Argentinian Malbec, on the other hand, is described as "ripe and plummy" with a "dry and savoury finish", making it ideal for enjoying alongside your favourite grilled meats.
