Just in time for January aka Veganuary, Costa Coffee has announced that it's launching a vegan cheese and ham toastie.

The Vegan Smoky Ham & CheeZe Toastie is made up of Quorn Smoky Ham and tasty melted CheeZe, which has been sandwiched between two slices of freshly toasted golden vegan bread.

It will set you back £2.95 and is available in stores nationwide from Thursday 2 January.

Costa Coffee isn’t the first brand to jump on the vegan bandwagon this January – Greggs has announced that a full vegan menu will available from January, and Marks and Spencer are also launching hot vegan 'sausage' rolls at almost 50 stores around the UK.

An insider revealed a couple of weeks ago that a vegan steak bake will be on the menu to keep Greggs' vegan sausage roll company.

The insider told Metro.co.uk, "Vegan steak bakes are definitely happening," the source, who wishes to be known only as Greg Greggs, said. "I don’t have photos to confirm this but all employees I’ve spoken to regarding it are aware they’re arriving in the new year, and my manager has shown me stock sheets with 'vegan steak bake' written on them, ready for when our deliveries arrive."
