Percy Pig is one of the most iconic pigs of our time. In fact, if it weren’t for that pesky Peppa, we think Percy would actually the most famous pig known to man.

But, being the second most famous pig is impressive too, so it’s no great surprise that M&S has decided to utilise his popularity by launching a Percy Pig muffin.

We first got wind of the baked treat when Kev’s Snack Reviews posted a photo of the pink muffins on Instagram.

Marks And Spencer say about the muffins: “We’ve turned your favourite sweet into a fluffy Percy flavoured muffin, topped with Percy flavoured buttercream and filled with strawberry jam.”

Earlier this year, Percy Pigs underwent a revamp after M&S changed the recipe to make all variations of the gummy sweets vegetarian. At the time, a spokesperson for M&S commented on the decision, explaining why the brand chose to remove the gelatin. They said: “After a lot of hard work (and tasting) we’ve finally perfected a 100% vegetarian Percy – something our customers have been asking us for, for a while!

“Rest assured we’ve tested the new recipe thoroughly to make sure he’s as close to the original as possible and we have haven’t changed any of the really important things that people love about Percy; the flavour is the same, he still has real fruit juice and never has artificial colours or flavours.”
