A YouGov survey has caused outrage on the Internet after releasing a poll, ranking British food from best to worst.

Putting the foods into five tiers - the list was compiled after asking a bunch of Brits how much they like or dislike the list of traditional British grub.

Yorkshire puddings, Sunday roast, fish and chips, crumpets, full English breakfast and bacon sandwiches were all considered 'God Tier,' with 80+% of those surveyed saying they like them.

What to read next

Way down at the bottom were steak and kidney pudding, black pudding, kippers, liver and onion, haggis, faggots, laver-bread and jellied eels, with 50% and less of those surveyed saying they like the foods.

They did the same with sweet British foods, too - with scones and Victoria sponge coming out on top, and deep-fried Mars bars coming in last.

Understandably this has got plenty of people talking, and not many are happy with the result...

Apparently big generational gaps appeared in this survey, with almost all of the big divides being young people liking classic desserts less. For example, only 34% of 18 to 24 year olds who have ever had Christmas pudding like it, compared to 70% of the over 55s.

We're still in shock at the Battenberg cake ranking to be honest...
