Beefeater is certainly one of the world's most well-known gin brands, and its London Dry gin is an iconic tipple. And then last year it launched its pink gin which became an instant hit, and there's of course its new, fancier Beefeater 24.
But did you know that there's ANOTHER secret gin flavour Beefeater has been keeping from us? While only people in-the-know were aware of its existence, the distillery has let us in on the secret and you can now buy it online.
Beefeater London Garden is inspired by the gardens of London, in particular the Chelsea Physic Garden.
They claim that this particular garden served as inspiration to the original Beefeater recipe, so their Master Distiller, Desmond Payne, set about creating a new, limited-edition version.
As well as Beefeater's London Dry citrus notes, Garden also contains more leafy and herbal notes thanks to botanicals including lemon verbena and thyme.
Altogether Beefeater Garden gin consists of 11 botanicals: juniper, thyme, lemon verbena, lemon peel, almond, Seville orange peel, coriander seed, liquorice root, orris root, angelica root and angelica seed.
And while this may be news to some people, the gin has actually been around five years, coinciding with the opening of the distillery’s visitor centre in Kennington in 2014.
But while you could only buy this hidden gem from the distillery in Central London, you can now buy it online, via the Chelsea Physic Garden website!
