Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation is a best seller for the makeup brand, and now it's becoming more accessible for all, with 40 shades available.

To celebrate the launch of their My Shades, My Power campaign, Lancôme’s will stock hues from Opal (008) to Ebene (17) with variations of warm, cold and neutral variants in between.

And not only is the company diversifying its foundation shades, it's also celebrating diversity by featuring 40 inspiring women of all skin colours in its campaign.

'We are working with 40 equally impressive women from across the UK and Ireland, each representing a shade from the Teint Idole Ultra Wear collection celebrating not just diversity in skin tone, but the idea that anything in life is achievable,' says Marina Torres, Marketing Director of Lancôme UK.

These women include Strictly Come Dancing’s Oti Mabuse, Olympic cyclist Laura Kenny, and Bend it Like Beckham director Gurinder Chadha.

This is a welcome change for beauty fans, as the beauty industry has been lambasted for not creating foundation shades for everyone. But it seems brands are waking up and listening, and recognising the necessity for a varied range of skin-coloured products.

And while this particular foundation isn't exactly a steal at £31.50, if you find the perfect match for you, it'll probably be worth it.
