Sometimes autumn/winter trends can be a little overwhelming, as it can be hard to decipher how you can translate the catwalk and incorporate the look into your personal style. Here at Good Housekeeping we have rounded up the most exciting A/W trends from the hottest new shades of buttery yellow or spotlights on accessories like oversized scarves. We have picked the must buys in high street stores for elevated Autumnal dressing.

Of course, not all trends are made for everyone. If you're more of a neutral dresser, the metallic trend may not be for you. However, our fashion team have selected a few stand out pieces that can help ease your way into the top trend of the season in an accessible way.

Every year, there will be some familiar trends popping back up again, and we've seen them again this year weaving their way into the recent ss24 shows. Trends such as oversized looks, minimalism and, as ever, black. A great way to pick up a trend is through one new piece that can be used in a multitude of style equations. Why not invoke Miu Miu and add a Mohair cardigan from & Other Stories over your favourite jeans and ballet flats? Or splash out on something sparkly for the upcoming party season.

While some Autumnal trends may have been seen before, there are plenty of ways to breathe life and freshness into your wardrobe, just ask the designers do with each new season collection.

These favourite items were chosen by our team for their timeless qualities and universal application, meaning they can be added to any and all outfits that need a new lease of life this Autumn - without sacrificing your personal style.
