Jane Fonda looked fierce and fabulous as she stepped out on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Tuesday (14 May).

The Hollywood icon embraced a blueprint of classic style hallmarks for her look, including animal print, diamonds and a bold red lip. Jane wore a black two-piece suit with silver detailing, and draped a long leopard print coat over her shoulders as the stylish statement piece.

She accessorised the ensemble with metallic silver shoes and a diamond collar necklace with matching bracelet, earrings and ring from the Pomellato High Jewellery Collection. For her glam, Jane styled her hair in soft waves with plenty of volume and added a sweep of red lipstick to complete the look.

This year is the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival and Jane arrived at Palais des Festivals for the opening ceremony and screening of Le Deuxieme Acte (which translates as The Second Act), starring No Time to Die's Léa Seydoux.

There were plenty of other recognisable stars on the red carpet for the prestigious festival this year, including Meryl Streep who arrived in a fabulous all-white look.

The star wore a floor-length wrap dress with long sleeves which she paired with an angular clutch bag and accessorised with bold statement earrings featuring dangling crystal droplets.
