Both the Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen have been known to recycle their outfits, but when it comes to the number of years an outfit has been treasured for, Princess Anne holds the royal family's record.
The Queen's daughter attended the annual Commonwealth Day service on Monday wearing a cream and navy outfit. The elegant coat, which was paired with a matching hat, clutch bag and stilettos, is clearly a favourite with the Princess Royal. And yes, it looked familiar.
The design is nearly 40 years old and was first seen on Princess Anne at Royal Ascot back in June 1980.

Since then, she has worn the classic style on multiple occasions, including the Epsom Derby in 1985, when Anne paired it with a pillow-box hat and heeled loafers.

Although 38 years might seem like a long time to keep hold of a set of clothes, it's not the only one the Princess likes to recycle. In 2015, she wore a mustard yellow coat which she had first worn to Trooping the Colour in 1980.
