Ever wonder what designers in 1939 thought would be fashionable right now? Thankfully, this video gives us a sneak peek. A few lucky candidates were asked to create looks for the 2000s and they're pretty amazing.

Some of their predictions were spot on (detachable sleeves with zippers!) and some not so much (belts that adapt the body to climate changes). And eerily, they predicted our obsession with mobile phones — literally! The one male ensemble, which looks like a cross between Aladdin and The Jetsons, has a phone attached at the chest.
