The Duchess of Edinburgh stepped out in a timeless outerwear piece to attend an event at the Royal Society with South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol this week.
According to the Royal Family's Instagram account, Sophie joined the President for "a discussion on strengthening the role of basic science in advancing humanity", with scientists from the UK and the Republic of Korea in attendance.
For the occasion, Sophie opted for a black wool coat, a versatile wardrobe piece that can be relied upon to elevate any outfit. She paired her smart outerwear with another winter staple - a pair of tan boots - and a blue snakeskin clutch bag.
Earlier in the week, Sophie was seen in a regal evening look. Along with other senior members of the royal family, she attended a state banquet held at Buckingham Palace at the start of the South Korean President's three-day visit to the UK.
Like Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales, Sophie wore a diamond tiara and a glamorous floor-length gown. Sophie opted for an all-white dress with delicate floral embroidery around the neckline and shoulders. She was first seen wearing the stunning gown for the coronation of her brother-in-law, King Charles, at Westminster Abbey in May.
When she's not at the more formal, royal occasions, Sophie often opts for verstaile wardrobe pieces. During a visit to Yorkshire in July, Sophie opted for a stylish camel tweed blazer to meet members of the community at an agricultural show.
