First a knitted vest, now a knitted co-ord – the Princess of Wales is giving her style an on-trend shake-up for autumn, and we're loving it.
Traditionally seen in sharp tailoring and conservative dresses, Kate turned to the high street for her latest look: a knitted skirt set from affordable luxury French brand, Sézane.
Loved by the celebrity likes of Sienna Miller and Sofia Richie, Sézane is known for chic capsule pieces including pretty dresses, elegant knitwear and striped shirting.
Kate has already proved herself a Sézane girl – she's often seen in the brand's gold filigree and black bead statement Esmee earrings, reportedly a gift from Prince William – but this latest cream ensemble takes her fashion love affair one step further.
Sadly the crew-neck Sami jumper with button detailing, £110, is currently sold out (the Kate effect no doubt, though we reckon it'll be back soon) but the matching Naelle skirt, £135, is still available in a few sizes at the time of writing.
Happily this style comes in multiple colourways, including black, bottle green, navy, emerald green, and our favourite – natural and navy stripes. So, if Kate's cream iteration flies off the shelves, you could just opt for another.
Kate paired her co-ord with gold and pearl earrings from Simone Rocha, nude suede stilettos by Gianvito Rossi and a 1950s-inspired taupe Tusting bag.
Her head-to-toe tonal styling feels effortlessly stylish, and so perfectly French. It's also one of the best examples of 'quiet luxury' that we've seen all season – especially teamed with a soft blowdry hat nobody does quite like the princess.
If, like us, knitted co-ords are your new obsession – just so fantastically versatile for autumn/winter, right? – then here are a few more of our favourite matching sets to buy now:
