Michelle Obama looked effortlessly cool and stylish while attending a sports event on Monday, 28 August.
The former First Lady attended the US Open Tennis Championships in New York, USA. She was joined by her husband, Barack Obama — former President of the United States.
Taking to Instagram to document the event, Michelle shared two photos with fans. In the images, the attorney and author looks chic yet laid-back in an on-trend denim look — opting for a stylish denim midi dress. She paired her look with a cropped cardigan and sandals for a casual yet put-together ensemble.
Captioning the snaps, Michelle said: "Game, set, match. 🎾"
The photos also show some sweet moments of the Obamas spending time together as a couple, with the second snap showing Barack sweetly kissing his wife on the cheek.
In addition to sharing the adorable images (and showcasing her gorgeous outfit choice) — Michelle also shared a video to her social media account from the event. The video reveals a speech that Michelle made at the US Opens — and the former First Lady also wrote an important caption to accompany it. "Here’s to @BillieJeanKing and all the changemakers who broke barriers and opened doors for future generations," she said. "And to the @USOpen for raising the bar not just for the tennis world, but for the entire world. 🎾"
Michelle and Barack Obama married in 1992. The couple share two daughters together: Malia and Sasha. Barack Obama was President of the United States from 2009 - 2017 — with Michelle taking the role of First Lady during this time.
