Kate Garraway looked a picture of elegance as she attended an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday (28 June).
The presenter met the Prince of Wales and was awarded an MBE in recognition for her services to broadcasting, journalism and charity.
For the wonderful occasion, Kate opted for a stylish white maxi dress, which featured a high-neck pearl-encrusted collar and sleeves and a flattering pleated skirt. The dress also buckled in at the waist, beautifully accentuating the star's figure.
To finish off her look, Kate styled her dress with a pretty white fascinator, along with a simple pair of nude court heels.
Kate was joined by her family, including her husband Derek Draper and her parents Gordon and Marilyn Garraway for the special event.
In the photos, the family can be seen looking proud and smiling for the camera after Kate had received her MBE.
Kate's husband Derek Draper contracted Covid-19 back and fell critically ill in March 2020. Over a year later, Derek was able to go home by April 2021, and since then has required around the clock care from specialist nurses and Kate.
This isn't the only lovely moment the family have shared recently. Only a few months ago Kate, Derek and their two children Darcey and Billy attended Elton John's Farewell Tour Concert at the London O2 on Monday (17 April).
Elton dedicated his famous song 'Don't let the sun go down on me' to the inspiring couple, in recognition of Derek's health struggles and the difficult time they have been through as a family.
Kate was quick to share this amazing moment captured by someone at the concert on Instagram, along with a heartfelt caption.
The presenter said: "#eltonjohn & @davidfurnish you gave the kids & Derek a moment that we will never forget and has lifted their spirits again to feel anything is possible. Thank you for your inspiring music and huge heart ❤️."
Kate is a truly inspirational woman.
