The Princess of Wales stepped out in stunning white ensemble to mark the reopening of the National Portrait Gallery, following an extensive refurbishment which began in 2020.
Kate, who is a patron of the cultural landmark, was the epitome of elegance in a midi dress by Self-Portrait, one of the royal’s go-to brands. The one-piece features a classic chiffon pleated skirt and a tailored white boucle tweed jacket.
She styled her ensemble with some pearl teardrop earrings and her timeless black Aquazzura black stilettos as well as a classic quilted Chanel bag.
Unsurprisingly, the dress worn by the Princess has already sold out. But fear not, we found some similar pieces available to shop online if you want to take style inspiration from the royal on a smart occasion and re-create her look
The Princess’ visit comes ahead of the National Gallery official reopening to the public on Thursday 22 June. The royal got the opportunity to tour the London institution and meet with the artist Tracey Emin CBE as well as Jamie Fobert, the project architect of the refurbishment, during her visit.
Earlier this week, Kate opted for one of her favourite styles, a chic polka dot dress with a high neck and lightly puffed sleeves, as she attended the Order of the Garter service at Windsor Castle alongside other senior members of the royal family.
Polka dots are one of Kate's go-to prints and she's been spotted wearing polka dots on a number of occasions, including at Wimbledon.
