Helen Mirren unveiled a brand new look at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday (16 May) with a colourful hair transformation.
Helen stepped out on the red carpet with a blue and purple twisted up do which was as new style for the star. She wore a floor length gown in a similar shade, making it a head-to-toe monochrome look.
The actor's long sleeve dress featured a wide, flattering V-neck cut which sat just on her shoulders, while the body of Helen's dress consisted of multiple gathered layers tied together asymmetrically.
To accessorise the outfit, Helen opted for a diamond choker necklace and droplet earrings, and she used a black fan as a prop as she walked down the red carpet.
Helen was out to attend the Jeanne du Barry screening and opening ceremony red carpet of Cannes at the Palais des Festivals. The event is now in its 76th year.
The star was spotted leaving the Martinez Hotel on Monday (15 May), after arriving in Cannes ahead of this year's star-studded film festival.
On Monday, Helen's hair was still her regular colour although she had opted for another bold, co-ordinated look in a bright green coat and matching knotted headband.
She kept the rest of her look simple with a classic white t-shirt, black trousers and flat white pumps for her day out. Helen then added just a sweep of pink lipstick and subtle droplet earrings to finish her look.
