The Princess of Wales looked chic as she stepped out in a burgundy long sleeve midi dress in Birmingham on Thursday (20 April).

Kate opted for a floating V-neck dress in a deep wine shade for the visit, from high-end high street brand Karen Millen, which she paired with heels in a matching colour.

In a caption on their official instagram account, the couple hinted that they might not have been the best students, saying, "The Sharma Family don’t just bring authentic Indian street food to the city but do so much in the community too, including their all female chef team training many better cooks than us…!"

Photographs from the day show the pair getting in stuck in and enjoying themselves in the kitchen, as well as Prince William on the phone at the restaurant as he had a go at taking over reservations duties.

Another video shows a compilation of Prince William and Kate's other experiences of the day, as the couple visited various creative businesses in the city and chatted with locals who had come out to see them.

While the exact dress the Princess of Wales wore for her visit to Birmingham is currently sold out at Karen Millen, there are plenty of stylish long sleeve midi dresses available across the high street.
