Sophie looked effortlessly sophisticated in a co-ordinating lilac suit from the brand, and it's not the first time she's turned to the collection for an official visit.
The Royal Family have a long history of wearing British designers, including Emilia Wickstead, Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen and many more. While Jenny Packham is the go to for the Princess of Wales - particularly on big or more formal occasions - Victoria Beckham has become a label of choice for Sophie.
The key to Sophie's effortlessly sophisticated style is choosing classic pieces in flattering cuts which still offer style points in an unexpected way, which is why Victoria Beckham's pieces work so well for her. In this case, this is accomplished through the powder blue tone, not a colour usually associated with a traditional suit but one which feels youthful and vibrant.
Previously, Sophie wore a matching tweed set by Victoria Beckham which followed a similar formula. Her co-ordinating look again consisted of classic pieces in flattering cuts but added something a little different. The skirt, for instance, was a midi length - the go-to choice for Sophie when it comes to skirts and dresses - but with an asymmetric hemline. The fabric was also a blend of tangerine and white, which radiated light onto her complexion and was a brighter choice of colour for the spring season.
