The Queen Consort has been to visit the battalion who carried Queen Elizabeth II's coffin at her funeral.
Camilla attended Lille Barracks were she met with members of the Grenadier Guards and their families. Members of what is officially referred to as The Queen's Company, 1st Battalion The Grenadier Guards were the 'Bearer Party' at The Queen's funeral, carrying her coffin into Westminster Abbey.
The Queen Consort has since become the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards and she was conducting her first official visit to the battalion.
Photographs of the visit were shared to the official Royal Family social media accounts, where The Queen Consort can be seen sitting for a formal photo alongside the Grenadier Guards. Other photos show her walking in the grounds and also chatting with members and their families.
A caption explained that, "Over the last five years, the 1st Battalion has been employed across a plethora of military tasks around the world," but that they "returned from deployment in September to provide the Bearer Party for the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth."
For the occasion, Camilla wore a long sleeve maxi dress in bold red and could be seen smiling and chatting as she met with the guards.
