Alex Jones glittered in a stunning gown while presenting a Welsh award ceremony in Cardiff on Sunday (9 October).

The One Show presenter swapped her usual seat on the BBC sofa for the awards stage at the BAFTA Cymru ceremony (Cymru is the Welsh word for Wales), over the weekend. For the event in Cardiff, Alex opted for a shimmering, floor length occasion dress.

Alex wore a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and sheer silver skirt. The black bodice-style mini dress formed the top half of the look, while the dress’s overlaid skirt was decorated with a smattering of black flowers.

The star paired the dress with statement earrings from high street retailer Zara and a neat, shiny manicure in chic black polish.

Alex shared photographs of her look with her 339k followers on Instagram. The first showed her behind the scenes before the event while another showed her posing on the red carpet. A third image revealed the shiny BAFTA Cymru awards waiting to be collected by the evening’s recipients.

In a caption, she said that she was, “ready to host the @baftacymru awards," adding that it was, “So fantastic to be back in Cardiff with so many friends and colleagues!”

The presenter finished the post with a message in Welsh reading, “Pob lwc i bawb!” which translates as “Good luck to everyone!”

Many of Alex’s fans and followers were quick to comment on how glamorous she looked, as well as famous faces including Claro Amfo, who described her look as, “gorgey!”
