The Countess of Wessex attended a traditional royal event yesterday (13 June) wearing a pastel pink dress and stunning cream hat.
Sophie Wessex’s pale pink dress featured long sleeves with flared cuffs and a flattering A-line skirt, which fell to just below the knee.
The Countess also opted for a pair of ivory court shoe heels and finished the look with a woven, asymmetric headpiece in cream and neutral tones, with fanned feather detailing. She also added a diamond brooch in the shape of a flower.
The event Sophie was attending was the Garter Day procession alongside her husband Prince Edward (the Queen’s youngest son), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, plus the Queen.
The Order of the Garter is the highest order of knighthood which can be bestowed and yesterday a number of individuals gathered to receive their honours, including the Duchess of Cornwall.
Princes Charles, William and Edward all wore traditional robes as did the newly honoured Duchess of Cornwall, who has now become a “Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter,” according to a post on the official Royal Family Instagram account.
The event takes place each June, however this week’s was the first for three years due to the pandemic.
The occasion comes after the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend which saw Her Majesty and various members of the Royal Family, including the Cambridge children, attending a number of events and celebrations over the four-day bank holiday.
