The Duchess of Cambridge visited a donation centre offering essential items for babies and young children to families in need.

The Duchess met with volunteers at the Little Village HQ baby bank which supports families across London by offering toys, clothes and other essentials.

The charity also links families with important services where needed and, in a post, Kate said it was “wonderful to hear how volunteers work closely with each individual family to understand their personal needs, providing tailored support in a way that ensures they are treated with love, kindness and dignity.”

The post was shared to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official social media channels, alongside images which showed Kate meeting volunteers and getting stuck in helping out.

In one photo, the Duchess can be seen packing essentials into bags ready for collection. Another shows well-stocked shelves and a whiteboard detailing what to pack in a donation package for families, including nappies, toiletries for mum and baby, books, shoes and more.

To attend the important charity centre, Kate wore a smart white blazer from high street store Zara and pair of black, wide-leg trousers, resulting in a classic yet chic overall look.

Kate’s visit to the baby bank was her first official outing since the weekend of Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The four-day bank holiday played host to a number of special events in honour of the Queen’s historic reign, including a star-studded concert and Jubilee pageant featuring a wide range of acts.
