Alex Jones shared a very special “bathroom selfie” from Buckingham Palace yesterday evening (23 February), wearing a stunning lace midi dress.
Alex was at the palace to present a very special episode of The One Show from the Blue Drawing Room, to mark 100 days until the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration weekend.
The presenter shared a bathroom selfie from inside the palace, revealing the stunning lace midi dress she had chosen to wear for the special occasion. The satin waistline and neat collar made the dress by Self Portrait the perfect choice for a royal setting.

Sharing the snap to her Instagram account, Alex described the experience as, “one of [her] favourite days ever,” and said it was, “a proper pinch myself moment.”
Famous friends and many of Alex’s followers offered their support in the comments section of the post, including Zoe Ball who said, “fabulous show last night al and you looked divine.”
“Your dress was amazing and Ronan scrubbed up well too, loved his singing, and the room was magnificent,” wrote a fan, while another said, “Gorgeous dress in a beautiful room. The whole programme from start to end was just brilliant.”
The Royal Family’s official Instagram account also shared a moment ahead of the special episode of The One Show. It posted a photo of the Blue Drawing Room with a camera ready to start filming.
