The Countess of Wessex and Prince Edward stepped out for a joint engagement on Wednesday (12 May) in honour of International Nursing Day.

The royal couple paid a visit to Frimley Park Hospital near their home, Bagshot Park, in Surrey, where they met with hospital staff.

Edward and Sophie were pictured chatting to key workers both in and outside the hospital. They spoke to nurses who have been recognised by their peers for their exceptional work during the pandemic.

The royal couple also toured the hospital's new garden space and refurbished staff areas during their visit.

The Countess of Wessex looked stunning in a pleated navy and black knitted dress, with a pearl detail zip top, which appears to be a high street buy from ME+EM. The dress has a pleated maxi skirt with a flared shape that looks super flattering.

Knitted dresses are a huge trend right now, and are set to be even bigger news this autumn/winter, so you can bet Sophie's dress would make a solid investment.
