Net-a-Porter has launched its annual Black Friday sale, offering 30% off designer clothes in its seasonal edit. Among the vast sale pages, we found the Castañer wedges worn so often by Kate.
The duchess' favourite Carina 80 style is reduced from to £85 to less than £60, and they come in a number of colour options.
Kate first swapped her trademark courts for this newer, more casual look back in 2019.
The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing a pair of suede Castañers several times that summer: twice to the Chelsea flower show (with that sell-out & Other Stories dress), at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, during a trip to the polo and on many other occasions.
Kate relied on her trusty Castañer wedges this summer, too: during a trip to Norfolk in June and a while visiting Barry Island in South Wales in August.
The Duchess of Sussex is also a fan of these shoes. Meghan was first spotted wearing the Spanish brand back in October in 2018, during a trip to Bondi Beach in Sydney, on her tour of Australia. She opted for the black Carina 80 style, which worked perfectly with her striped Martin Grant maxi dress.
A few days later, she was photographed wearing them again in Fiji, paired with a ruffled pink floral midi this time.
The duchess pulled those same Castañer wedges out again during her 2019 tour of South Africa, styling them with a blue shirt dress.
Why are Castañer's espadrilles so coveted, you may ask? Well, quite simply, they are comfortable (we can vouch for that), and where trainers aren't so appropriate for public outings, these wedge shoes are the next best thing.
