Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Pakistani Air Force Base Nur Khan on Monday evening (14 October) to kick off their five-day tour of Pakistan, and Kate wasted no time paying homage to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Kate stepped off the plane wearing a bespoke aqua-blue ombré dress and matching pants by Catherine Walker, one of the Duchess' favorite designers. The look was a modern twist on the traditional shalwar kameez, which pairs a loose-fitting tunic with pants.

Diana wore a similar look during her solo visit to Pakistan in 1996. The iconic royal impressed with a light blue top and loose pants during a visit to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital in Lahore.
