Michelle Obama, the former first lady and author of highly anticipated memoir 'Becoming', always looks picture-perfect. Although we're still convinced her enduring radiance is just a side effect of being a seriously great person (with good genes), her go-to make-up artist Carl Ray recently revealed that even Obama relies on a few essential beauty products to give her that glow.
Joining Obama's 'trifecta' glam squad back in 2009, Ray has been the man behind her super healthy complexion since then. From doing her make-up in Buckingham Palace before meeting the Queen, to applying eyeliner mid-flight en route to the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Ray's worked his make-up magic on Obama for almost every occasion.
"There are times when she won’t even look in the mirror when I’m done, that’s how much she trusts me," Ray told Refinery29. "She doesn’t give me any guidance. She tells me what she’s wearing, like jeans or a dress, and then I do my thing."
