Princess Eugenie paid a special tribute to her grandmother by wearing a tiara from the Queen's collection for her royal wedding today (12 October).

Eugenie, who looked stunning in a white wedding dress by the designer Peter Pilotto, chose to adorn her head with a striking headpiece, like many royal brides before her.

The tiara, which was created for society host and philanthropist Mrs Greville in 1919, was gifted to Her Majesty in 1942.

It had previously been speculated that Eugenie would wear the York family tiara that her mother, Sarah Ferguson, wore at her wedding to Prince Andrew.

Eugenie paired the headpiece with diamond and emerald drop earrings, a gift from her new husband Jack Brooksbank.
