With the warmer weather over, we're all looking to refresh our wardrobes for autumn.

While printed trousers might traditionally be associated with summer, you can cast this assumption aside. Printed trousers, with their poppy colours, playful prints and pretty patterns, are a perfect way to add colour and vibrancy into your autumn wardrobe. So, whether you're looking for loose and fluid wide-leg styles, cropped kick flares or cool culottes, just make sure they're printed to stay on trend.

If you're not sure of how to style your printed trousers, try pairing a bright print with a T-shirt, denim jacket and trainers for off-duty style or wearing a dark geometric print with a crisp shirt and loafers for workwear. Or look for a matching shirt and trouser set for statement evening-wear.

The printed trouser can work for all occasions - what you pair them with can make then go from day to night. So don't think that this is a tricky trend, as the printed trouser is a lot more versatile than you realise. Another positive to printed trousers is that they often have loose, fluid shapes with an elasticated waist, so they will keep you feeling comfortable while looking chic.

Look out for pretty paisleys, cool gingham, sporty stripes, bold colours and Seventies geometrics. Here is our edit of the best printed trousers available on the high street now.....
