The Countess of Wessex dressed up in a stunning long-sleeved maxi dress on Tuesday (23 February), as she took part in a special video call engagement.
As part of her role as Royal Patron of the London College of Fashion, Sophie announced this year’s winner of The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
The royal congratulated winner Priya Ahluwalia, who is the fourth designer to receive the accolade. It recognises the important role of the fashion industry in society, and the talent of young British designers.
During the virtual presentation, Sophie also spoke with Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, about the effect that the coronavirus pandemic has had on the industry, while also discussing their style influences.
The Countess reportedly revealed that another royal, Queen Rania of Jordan, and Hollywood star Angelina Jolie are the two women whose style she admires most.
Sophie wore a beautiful maxi dress by Victoria, Victoria Beckham for the occasion, which boasts flattering long sleeves, a pleated skirt and a striking abstract print in white and midnight blue.
