Over the last year, mindful beauty products have popped up all of the market. With beauty fans swearing by their nightly skincare routines as time to look after their body and mind, to recharge after a hectic day.

Now Marks & Spencer is selling a shower product that fans on social media just can't get enough of, and we think it's the perfect luxurious addition to your evening routine. Not only to clean and nourish your skin, but give you some much-needed me time too.

The beloved product in question is L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil. Priced at £31 it's a bit of a splurge, but comes in a 500ml bottle so is set to last you quite a while.

The oil works by transforming into a light, milky texture when combined with water. Enriched with almond oil, it promises to nourish the skin leaving it silky soft and hydrated as well as clean.

According to the retailers website it also "respects the skin’s hydrolipidic film and leaves a subtle, delectable perfume on the skin" - dreamy!

M&S posted a snap of the product to its beauty Instagram page and shoppers took to the comment section to share their love for the shower oil.

Soleil des Vignes Oil Elixir
Caudalie Soleil des Vignes Oil Elixir

How do I love Caudalie? Let me count some of the ways….sensorial textures, accessible prices, solid science, French savoir faire. Their sun protection range is brilliant as is the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum which I use every summer to minimise pigmentation and boost the clarity and brightness of my skin.

But it’s the beautiful new Oil Elixirs I want to share here: Smooth & Glow is a a triple threat of sheen-giving body and hair hydrator and juicy fig fragrance, while the orange blossom, jasmine, coconut and vanilla in Soleil des Vignes body oil, pictured here, create a heady, tropical, beachy mood that sings of summer. They come in portable 50ml sizes as well as larger 100ml so are perfect for travel too.

Jelly-Lite Cool Hydrating Leg Mask

It’s an unglamorous thing to admit, but I get rather puffy, heavy-feeling legs in hot weather. One solution is the yoga pose, Viparita Karani, often also called ‘legs up the wall pose’ in which you lie on your back, with yes, your legs up and supported by the wall.

Another is Legology’s Jelly-Lite Cold Comfort Mask for Legs. Legology, founded by former beauty journalist Kate Shapland, focusses, rather uniquely, entirely on legs with products designed to stimulate lymphatic drainage as well as being pleasurable to use. Back to the Jelly Lite Mask: it has a consistency rather like almost-melted ice cream, so is gorgeously cooling and soothing as it de-puffs. Skin is left glossy with a fresh, citrussy scent.

Lumea IPL 9900 Series
Philips Lumea IPL 9900 Series

If you're someone who prefers to be without body hair - and perhaps have spent vast amounts on threading, waxing and razors over the years - an IPL device is a worthy investment.

Philips are an authority in this, and its newest hair removal device excites me. It's got all the clever Intense Pulsed Light tech that we've come to expect from the brand (that's what slows down hair growth and causes hairs to shed), but now there are additions that make the process even easier. Four attachments mean even the most inflexible are better placed to reach tricky areas, and the audio-flash counter signals when you should move your device to the next area.

Lashbond Building Serum
Olaplex Lashbond Building Serum

One of the questions I’m asked most often (and just recently by my mother, daughter and best friend indicating multigenerational curiosity) is if products that claim to encourage eyelash growth really work.

The answer is yes, some of them do…if you use them consistently. RevitaLash has always topped our GHI tests, but I’ve been roadtesting new Olaplex's Lashbond Building Serum, from the brand that put reparative bonding treatments for hair on the map.

And I’m impressed. I’ve been using it morning and evening without fail and after four weeks I saw pleasingly longer, fuller looking lashes (mine are otherwise spindly things). It will be a repeat purchase when the tube’s empty.

Dreams of Africa Roller Ball
Voca Dreams of Africa Roller Ball

I’ve never been convinced that sprays designed to encourage sleep work, except when they do! Cue aromacology brand Voca London. Alongside pillow mists, there are pretty rollerballs of scented slumber-inducing botanical oils to dab on pulse points as part of a wind-down ritual. Eagerly I applied one in the office – and dozed off on the train home. They're £36 each.

L'Oréal's newest innovation is daily sun protection at its best: this has a milky texture that glides on without leaving a white cast or feeling tacky.
