Renowned for her sexy supermodel makeup, rock ’n’ roll hair, a carefree attitude and always finding a reason to dress up, Kate Moss has long been the face of British party culture. Now, though, she may be taking things down a notch or three. While she still enjoys a good party, Kate has become the latest celebrity to join Pamela Anderson in going au naturale, embracing bare-faced beauty even on a big night out.

Last night she was spotted at celebrity hairstylist Sam McKnight’s 70th birthday party in London without a spot of makeup to be seen. Times are clearly changing, it’s safe to say the old Kate would have seen this as the perfect excuse to get glammed up.

Back in the day nobody partied quite like Kate, from messy nights out in London to becoming synonymous with the fields of Glastonbury. And, of course, let’s not forget her notorious 30th birthday party, dubbed as one of London’s wildest nights out. So while seeing her keeping it stripped back for a night out took us by surprise, it’s also undoubtedly a refreshing change.

With her glowing, clear complexion, Kate’s fresh-faced look is enough to give us envy. And her routine is no secret, she seems to be benefitting from her very own beauty range Cosmoss. While she toned down her makeup and kept her hair very simple, she still dressed to impress with a sparkling ensemble, proving she still knows how to bring energy to a party.

There’s been an evident shift in the beauty industry in recent years, and skincare has been taking centre stage over makeup. It seems Pamela Anderson sparked a trend after she ditched the makeup back in 2023 at Paris Fashion Week, as we’ve seen a host of celebrities, from Amy Adams and Meghan Markle, adopting the ‘less is more’ approach.

It comes as no surprise that going makeup-free is becoming more and more popular. Thanks to skin-enhancing actives such as retinol and alpha hydroxy acids, it’s never been easier to feel confident about your complexion. After all, why hide your skin when it looks so great on its own? (And, if you feel like your knowledge isn’t up to scratch, don’t worry – that’s what we’re here for!)

If like us, you’re feeling inspired by Kate’s fresh-faced beauty – then you’re in for a treat. Glowing bare skin is just a drop away with these GHI-approved products. Not only will your skin thank you, but your morning routine will become a lot quicker, too!
