She’s got the sort of face that can handle all the glitter, lipstick and fake tan that Strictly Come Dancing throws at her, but Nadiya Bychkova has just proved she needs no help at all from the BBC glam squad. After a busy month getting back into ballroom glitz mode, the professional dancer has shared a glimpse of her stripped-back ‘real’ self, and it’s a 10 across the board.
While Strictly won’t be back on our screens until late August, Nadiya’s been stepping out looking hot to fox-trot at a series of glitzy events. The TRIC Awards saw her reunited with her former celebrity partner Dan Walker, sporting a full-on Hollywood-esque look that must have brought back memories of their time together on the show.
Then last week, she poured her dancer’s physique into a gold sheath dress for the National Film Awards, practically turning her into the female counterpart to the Oscars statue. Celebrating the moment with her Instagram followers, she posted: ‘A night spun in stories and silk…✨🎬 Draped in liquid gold by @catherinewalkerlondon.’

But alongside all the glitter and glamour, Nadiya has taken a moment to breathe, pause and appreciate the quieter, less showbiz side of her life, where she’s truly in her element. Sharing a carousel of her most ‘meaningful moments and memories in motion’, she includes a stunning beauty selfie, without a scrap of makeup.
The dancer is seen tucked under the duvet and beaming up at the camera, her bare complexion looking enviably radiant. She writes: ‘June, you felt like golden light on skin… ✨ Here’s to the softness, the sparkle, and the steady rise of summer.’
The same happiness shines through her proudest photos, showing herself alongside her eight-year-old daughter, Mila, who has clearly inherited her mum’s talent for dancing as well as her penchant for glamour. ‘I felt purest pride watching Mila twirl her way through her dance competition,’ Nadiya writes. ‘Life moved quickly, but the joy lingered.’
