Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, continues to be the Royal that we can’t seem to get enough of, not just for her ultra-elegant fashion choices, but also for her ever-evolving beauty routine. While earlier this week we spotted her sporting the burgundy eyeliner trend, it now seems she’s really getting into the summer spirit with a bronzed new look.
Last night, Sophie was spotted looking radiant at the reception for the King’s Awards for Enterprise. And while the flurry of pictures had us glued to our feeds, as usual, Sophie caught our eye. This time, it was thanks to her beautifully sunkissed and glowing complexion – it seems Sophie is leaning into the current heatwave vibes.
Given the UK’s hit-or-miss weather over the past week (sunshine one moment, pouring it down the next), we’re guessing this isn’t the work of sunbathing. However, it would be easy to be fooled since it looks incredibly natural. Now we’re left wondering what her Royal beauty secrets are!
Beautifully bronzed skin aside, we think Sophie may have given her whole beauty routine a summer refresh, going all-out for the occasion. She complemented her golden complexion with a dusting of shimmery bronze shadow across her eyelids and a sweep of black eyeliner to make her eyes pop. Meanwhile, a touch of peachy blush gave the apples of her cheeks a healthy flush – and it seems she may have even opted for a shade darker than her signature pink lipstick.
Her look, as always, was complemented by an equally stylish outfit. She wore a gorgeous floral silk tea dress by British designer Suzannah London, and while it may be out of our budget, we’re definitely taking inspiration from her style.
On a slightly more affordable note, her rose quartz earring studs are £100 from Monica Vinader. It proves that the Royals know a good find when they see one – and it’s one we we can treat ourselves to as well.
As we move into the full swing of summer, like Sophie, we all want that healthy, bronzed-goddess glow (we have to admit, an overly generous dusting of Hoola Bronzer was definitely applied this morning). Living in Britain and having a natural tan don’t always go hand-in-hand, but luckily there’s no shortage of products to help you mimic the real deal.
From powder bronzers to bronzing drops to gradual tanner, below we’ve curated a small edit to help you faux that bronze glow (minus the UV damage).
